Learn to Organize! Focus on How City Council Works

Have you gotten red light or parking tickets you can't afford? Has your car been booted or towed, costing money and time you didn't have?

The City of Wilmington promised last year to reduce parking tickets from $40 to $25, but Wilmington City Council needs to vote on it. City Council needs to hear from residents why they should vote in support of reducing parking tickets to $25.

Wilmington Fines and Fees Justice is running a training program for people who have gotten parking or red light tickets and see the need for change. Learn how to talk to decision-makers and organize your neighbors, friends, and family to help make parking and red light ticketing less expensive and more fair.

At this training, learn how Wilmington City Council works and how to give public comment. All are welcome!

When: Wed. August 23

Time: 5:30 PM

Location: Wilmington Public Library at 10 E 10th St in downtown Wilmington

Room: Jacob Brown Room

RSVP's are welcome but not required. Hope to see you there!
